The National Intellectual Property Office (NIPO Sri Lanka) does not currently provide trademark registration online in Sri Lanka. Renew your trademark registration in Sri Lanka
When you register a trademark, it’s valid for 10 years. After that, you can renew it for another 10-year stretch—again and again. You just need to pay the renewal fee on time, and you’re good to go. The best thing is there will be no further examination of your mark and you won’t have to deal with pesky oppositions from third parties.
You can pay renewal fees within 12 months before your current registration expires. Keep in mind, though, paying late comes with an extra surcharge. If you fail to renew within the next 6 months, your trademark will be removed from the trademark register, and getting it back is no easy feat.
